Thanks for stopping by.
I’m Daniel (AKA Hoppities), a web developer based in Rockford, Illinois, who works primarily with small businesses to improve their sites or to create their first one.

Laravel is a flexible, quick, object-oriented framework that makes development a blast.
It's a powerful Javascript framework...more power!!!
Wordpress is great for businesses that want an easy-to-use platform. It’s my go-to for small businesses.
Sequel Pro, Codekit, and Sublime Text all make my life easier, and I don’t know what I would do without these tools.
GRBC Rockford needed an update. Their old site was slow and not mobile friendly. I decreased load time and created a responsive design that works on all devices. A new sermons widget was also created by integrating with the Sermon Audio API. It's a cleaner, simpler design that offers easy access to the information visitors need.
I recently gave a talk at Rockford Web Devs titled "Up and Running with AngularJS." For that, I decided to build a Calculator with AngularJS, and I also used Google's Material UI, which I think looks great.
Tri-3 Timing wanted to move away from copying and pasting lines of HTML to a simple content management system. They also wanted the ability to upload and process race results as well as filtering and searching of results. I was able to build a clean, simple system that managed all races and moved Tri-3 Timing away from having to understand how to code.
Helpr is an issue-tracking system, built at my day job. It's an AngularJS and LaravelPHP web app that offers role management for users, issue status tracking, a comment system, and a custom activity feed and dashboard for users.
